Part-Time Educational Program Manager

ChopLocal University provides free and low-cost educational resources to farmers and butchers selling meat direct-to-consumer. As part of a recently awarded Extension Risk Management Educational grant, Choplocal University is hiring an Educational Project Manager to coordinate and promote new educational programming and one-on-one coaching for farmers.
This position is perfect for applicants with experience in education or extension.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Moderate Facebook group focused on meat marketing for livestock producers selling direct to consumer
- Manage logistics of webinars and evaluation, including using appropriate zoom and survey features
- Host and moderate webinars (does not include providing instruction)
- Promote webinars through social media, email marketing, and project collaborators
- Promote and coordinate one-on-one coaching for farmers
- Match farmers with appropriate coach based on type of business and needs
- Utilize Google Sheets to maintain coaching records
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of social media and email marketing
- Knowledge of evaluation and assessment principles to measure the effectiveness and impact of educational programming
- Experience with or comfortable learning how to use Zoom, Survey Monkey, Calendly and other software
- Basic graphic design using Canva for social media & email marketing
- Comfortable learning new software programs
- Basic understanding of challenges faced by farmers selling meat direct to consumer
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Attitude of customer service
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones

This position is contracted, part-time (approximately 10-15 hours/week to start) and grant-funded through September 2027, with the opportunity for the successful program manager to continue employment beyond that date.
This is a remote position. The ideal candidate is available to collaborate during regular business hours (8 am to 5 pm CST).
