Now Hiring!
Part-Time Graphic Designer
Posting date:Â 2/18/26
ChopLocal is an online farmers market built specifically for meat, connecting customers with more than 65 independent farms and butcher shops across the country. We are a small, remote team passionate about supporting agripreneurs and growing local meat sales.
The ChopLocal Graphic Designer will create eye-catching, conversion-focused graphics for our website, social media, email campaigns, and digital ads. This role works closely with ChopLocal’s founder and marketing specialist to produce visual content that aligns with our brand, marketing strategy, and sales goals.
The ideal candidate is creative, efficient, and detail-oriented. They can confidently follow brand style guidelines, identify mouth-watering imagery of a wide variety of meat cuts, and have a basic working knowledge of livestock to ensure accuracy in visuals (for example, selecting images of beef cattle — not dairy cows — for a steak promotion).
A key responsibility of this role is organizing and repurposing content from ChopLocal’s 65 vendors into cohesive, on-brand marketing assets. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and comfort working independently with deadlines are essential.
Our team primarily uses Google Drive and Canva. Use of AI tools is permitted, but this role requires a highly discerning eye—especially when working with meat and animal-related imagery. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, but not required.
Basic social media, copy-writing and video editing skills are a bonus.
ChopLocal’s values include:
- Providing excellent customer service to the agripreneurs we serve
- Maintaining efficiency and effectiveness
- Positive messaging focusing on our vendors
This position is contracted, part-time (approximately 10-15 hours/week to start) and grant-funded through September 2027, with the opportunity for the successful graphic designer to continue employment beyond that date.
This is a remote position. The ideal candidate is available to collaborate during regular business hours (8 am to 5 pm CST).
